Calcium Stearate (C17 H35 COO)2 Ca is is a soft, fine fluffy free flowing waxy powder. This is also said as Carboxylate of Calcium. We are manufacturing this via precipitation /Direct process using high quality stearic acid. During manufacturing, the particle size, shape, Bulk Density, and purity is closely controlled to ensure product quality & uniformity. It is insoluble in water, ether and alcohol, partially soluble in hot alcohol and very well soluble in hot pyridine. It is non toxic in nature. It is available in form of white powder. It too emits irritating fumes when heated. Extremely low solubility makes calcium stearate a very versatile substance.
PROCESSING
Through Fusion Process : Calcium Stearate made via fusion process is produced by heating stearic acid and calcium oxide. It is an insoluble salt of calcium, stearic acid and palmatic acid. It is insoluble in water, ether, acetone and cold alcohol. Calcium stearate is used as a drying lubricant and dusting agent for rubber.
Through Precipitation Process : Calcium Stearate made via precipitation process is a very light, white and fine product with minimum possible foreign heavy metals. It is higly recommended for paper products used for food packaging applications. It is also recommended for commercial paper coatings, ink applications and high quality construction chemical
